Realia, controlled by Carlos Slim, has decided to get liquidity with a type of asset that until now has not aroused interest due to its complexity: land pending development. The company closed a few days ago the sale of a tertiary-use plot located in the Parc Central del 22@ district of Barcelona.
Specifically, this plot is located within the so-called Special Plan for Interior Reform of the Central Park Sector of the 22@ financial district.
It is one of the soils in its heritage division which totals more than half a million square meters (total of 568,630 sqm specifically). This land corresponded to its portfolio of land under development, which as of June 30, had 127,291 sqm. Located in Calle Aguacate, La Noria, Park Central (22@) and Leganés, these plots were valued as a whole at 62.7 million, almost three million more than a year earlier.
CBRE estimated at the end of the first semester a value of 18.5 million euros for this land.
