Duro Felguera has completed the sale of its former corporate headquarters in the Gijón Science and Technology Park (PCTG), Asturias. The office building, with a gross floor area of 8,049 sqm, has been acquired by a company that will occupy the asset. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
BNP Paribas Real Estate advised Duro Felguera on the sale, while the seller was also advised by Cuatrecasas and Banco Santander.
Located in one of northern Spain's main technology and business hubs, the standalone office building is spread across several floors and was previously used as Duro Felguera's global headquarters.
According to BNP Paribas Real Estate, the transaction reflects growing demand from owner-occupiers seeking well-located office assets. Benjamin Gómez, Head of Capital Markets Offices & Retail at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said that the deal illustrates the increasing weight of end-user acquisitions in the current market, driven by opportunities to acquire quality assets at competitive prices.
The sale concludes a disposal process launched in 2023, with the transaction completed off-market following direct negotiations between the parties.
