Travelodge is set to enter Seville with a 120-room hotel located around a five-minute walk from Fibes, the city’s exhibition and conference centre. The future Travelodge Sevilla Congresos forms part of the chain’s expansion plans in Spain, although the investment value and expected opening date have not yet been disclosed.
The hotel will comprise 48 double rooms with a double bed, 48 rooms with twin beds, 20 family rooms and four accessible rooms. Facilities will also include parking and an 85 Bar Café restaurant.
According to the company, the hotel will be around a 10-minute drive from Santa Justa railway station and Seville Airport, with access to the SE-30. The city centre will be approximately 35 minutes away by public transport.
The expansion follows a year in which Travelodge’s revenues in Spain increased by around 22%. The Spanish business closed 2025 with EBITDA of €11.8 million, when the chain had 12 operational hotels in the country. The opening of its Bilbao property in 2026 brought its Spanish network to 13 hotels.
Further projects are also in the pipeline. Construction of Travelodge’s first hotel in Cádiz began in August, with the 103-room property located in the Zona Franca and being developed following an agreement with Verbian Street Ibérica.
Travelodge also plans to open a 90-room hotel in Madrid in 2027, in a building acquired for conversion, and has signed new-build developments in San Sebastián and Alicante.
