OD Hotels has entered the Málaga market with the opening of Ocean Drive Málaga, a 22-apartment tourist accommodation scheme in Cortina del Muelle, in the city’s historic centre.
The property comprises a mix of studios and apartments, some with balconies or terraces. Each unit features an integrated kitchen, natural light and layouts designed to accommodate both short breaks and longer stays.
Unlike other Ocean Drive properties, the Málaga scheme does not include traditional hotel common areas such as a restaurant, bar or terrace. The building instead has a dedicated arrival hall, with the concept focused on connecting guests with the surrounding city.
The project follows Ocean Drive’s “The Neighbormood” hospitality concept, which aims to integrate accommodation into the everyday life of its destination rather than separating guests from their surroundings.
The interiors incorporate elements associated with Málaga and its local culture, including Spanish guitars and locally inspired furniture and decorative pieces.
Ocean Drive Málaga has also collaborated with artist Andrea Reina, who created a specific artistic intervention for the project. Each apartment features two abstract works representing two halves of a Málaga neighbourhood.
