The agreement contemplates a starting portfolio with 2.000 dwellings, since it includes projects developed by Syllâbus in Madrid (2), Malaga and Valencia. For the future, the two companies plan to develop six more projects. The targets are the main Portuguese and Spanish university cities. Pamplona, Barcelona and Salamanca are three examples.
«The project offers an attractive opportunity to invest in a growing Spanish real estate sector together with a specialized partner», comments Tobias Simon, fund management senior director at Invesco.
According to Eje Prime, Urbania’s subsidiary will be responsible for developing and operating these and other projects. In the near future, the companies, specialized in real estate investment, plan to develop 3.500 student dwellings.
