The transacted portfolio has an asset located in Azuqueca de Henares (Madrid), leased to the German logistics group Dachser; a cross-docking warehouse in Getafe (Madrid), rented to the Spanish company Correos Express; and a newly built logistics platform located in Plaza (Zaragoza) and leased to the operator DSV.
In this regard, Alistair Calvert, CEO of Clarion Partners Europe, assured that «despite the investment market becoming increasingly competitive, the strength of our relationships and our track record ensures that we can continue to acquire assets characterized by their good location and the quality of income».
In the transaction, Clarion Partners Europe was advised by Herbert Smith Freehills and Arcadis, while Merlin Properties was advised by CBRE.
With this acquisition, carried out on behalf of one of its combined funds, Clarion Partners Europe reinforces its commitment to the Spanish logistics market, in which it has 17 assets in the main areas of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Zaragoza, reaching 350,000 sqm.
This transaction comes shortly after Clarion acquired a portfolio of five logistics assets, which was owned by the Prologis company, for 90 million euros.
