The dynamics of this region in terms of industrial spaces’ absorption has been evident during the last few months, with consultant Savills Aguirre Newman informing that 80% of new logistic areas on offer in Barcelona in 2020 are already spoken for.
Although the capital market did not witness the same boom – since, despite the high demand, the owners of these assets are «aware of their good returns» and do not place them on the market, as explained by Alberto Larrazábal, Director for Industry and Logistics at CBRE España-, several transactions were registered in this segment. During the last 5 weeks alone, 6 operations were registered in Spain, 3 of which involved assets located in Barcelona.
The latest acquisition was concluded last Friday by Spanish Brilten Inmobiliaria which acquired a 5.312 sqm logistic warehouse with 14 metres in height, located in the second crown of Barcelona’s logistic market, within Polígono Llevant de Polinyà.
The asset’s price was not disclosed by consultant BNP Paribas Real Estate, which advised the operation and reported the news, but Iberian Property Data points towards more than 5 million euro.
With this acquisition, Brilten takes one more step towards its plan of investing and growing within the country’s logistic market.
