The European University Campus in Madrid for sale

The Alcobendas campus of the European University of Madrid (UEM), will predictably change hands in a short while, according to the publication Cinco Días. The owner of the property, Inversiones Montepino, has put it up for sale with the intention of boosting the process from 2017.

The seller, with consulting advice from the CBRE consultancy, is the society from Zaragona Inversiones Montepino, controlled by Juan José Vera for the Balet Sala family. The process started up in the last weeks of 2016, but, after coming to a standstill, the company predicts that they may remove the property from the market in 2017 la “without any hurry”, the company confirms.

The campus of Alcobendas contains installations covering more than 14.000 m² distributed in a four storey building, a semi-basement and basement parking, according to the European University. There are 54 classrooms with a capacity for more than 2,000 students.

The deal will not affect the tenant, in this case the educational centre, as there is a long-term rental agreement of 12 years, and the occupier wishes to continue in this space.
