Santander Buys 51% Of Aliseda to Värde Partners and Kenedy Wilson

Banco Santander is going to control 100% of Aliseda capital, real estate of the recently acquired Banco Popular, which has just repurchased the remaining 51% of Aliseda for €180 million. The sellers were the funds Värde Partners and Kennedy Wilson, which were part of the company since 2013.

With complete control over Aliseda, the Bank led by Ana Botín wants to accelerate the pace of divestment in the portfolio held by Popular. The aim is to reduce by half, in 18 months, a portfolio containing more than €30,000 million in foreclosed assets.
