The famous lingerie shop Victoria's Secret has chosen Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona to establish its flagship store. The premises will be located at number 11 of the shopping promenade of Barcelona.
The asset, which belongs to Generali Real Estate, will cover more than 600 square metres of floor space. This new establishment in Barcelona joins the one already opened on Madrid's Gran Vía. Percassi, the Italian company that manages the brand in Spain, signed a year ago the lease of the former Nike store on Madrid's Gran Vía to expand the company's presence in the country.
Percassi is a franchisee of both brands and has been a historical partner of Victoria's Secret in Italy, managing the shops in Spain since 2014. In addition, it also has a "preferred partner" agreement with Nike across southern Europe from 2020.
Until now, the space was occupied by a Natura shop, which will close soon to make way for the famous brand's first shop in Barcelona's prime retail sector.
The brand plans to offer its full range of products, including cosmetics, accessories, swimwear and intimate apparel, at the new location, although an opening date has not yet been announced.
The company's expansion is not limited to the two main Spanish cities, as the US firm plans to open its second shop in Valencia in the near future, located on Calle Juan de Austria, one of the city's main shopping streets.
The lingerie company currently has eight shops in shopping centres in Aldaia (Valencia), Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella and Seville, as well as high street shops in Malaga and Madrid.
