The mythical Teatro Barceló stars in one of the most outstanding sales this summer in the capital. Entrepreneur Pedro Trapote has sold the property for 24 million euros, although he will continue to operate the nightclub. According to El Periódico de España, Trapote has signed a rental contract for the space that will be valid for the next twenty years and, in addition, has the option of repurchase during the next five years.
The Barceló Theatre, recognized for its great night party sessions and for being a benchmark in the Madrid scene, has 32,000 square meters and an excellent location at number 11 of Madrid's Arenal street. After reopening its doors after a reform this year, Trapote has closed the sale of the property, an asset that Felipe González's brother-in-law acquired in 1996.
Until the agreement was broken in 2013, the theater hosted the events of the Pachá firm. Since then, the club has functioned normally and has even been the favorite location for the first parties of the King's grandson, Felipe Juan Froilán.
Those who acquire the asset are the Nieto Jiménez and Jiménez Blázquez families, owners of the Mon Parnasse florist firm, who have channeled the operation through the company Azurea Inicial. The solidarity representatives that appear in the company are Andoni Nieto García and Mónica Morales Jiménez.
