The investment group Mosaqui Capital, specialised in the acquisition and operation of shopping centres and retail parks, has acquired Parque Comercial Las Cañas, until now owned by a US investment fund.
The complex has a gross leasable area of more than 45,000 square metres and is located in the town of Viana (Navarra), in the Cantabria Industrial Estate, just 100 metres from La Rioja and in the vicinity of Logroño.
The retail park houses operators such as Family Cash, Brico Depot, Conforama, a B&B hotel, paddle tennis courts, bowling alley, cinemas and Feu Vert, among others.
Following this acquisition, a series of improvements will be developed with an estimated investment of 2.5 to 3 million euros. These funds are expected to be used for the modernisation of the park and the incorporation of new operators.
According to the new owners, "this acquisition represents a unique opportunity to develop a complex with high growth potential, with a wide range of medium-sized retail outlets and development opportunities for retail brands that prioritise their presence in retail parks". They also add that they plan to expand the range of leisure activities on offer.
The purchase transaction has been advised by LyC Consultores, who will manage the refurbishment and relaunch of Las Cañas in all its aspects, maintaining the continuity of the asset, as the company has been managing the park since its development.
