Heed Capital, an asset management company specialising in investment funds and financial consultancy, has invested 25 million euros in the expansion of Évora's Retail Park, located in Quinta de Alcaide. This retail park is part of the portfolio of assets managed by the Aston Gold FCR fund, launched by Heed Capital in 2021.
The space, bought in 2021 from Europar, will expand from 6,000 square metres to 14,000 square metres. The land on which it stands has a total area of approximately 66,000 square metres, and the owners have ceded an area of almost 7,000 square metres to Évora Town Hall, handing over to the public authorities the construction of a new access road to the site, as well as the connection to an existing roundabout.
For Fernando Fonseca, Head of Aston Gold, "this investment confirms our ability, through our multidisciplinary teams, to manage our clients’ resources, both in liquid and less liquid assets".
The Retail Park will have more than 800 car parking spaces and will host the first Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona shop in the Alentejo, as well as a Kiwoco, a Espaço Casa and a Glasses Factory.
Heed Capital's investment will create 200 new jobs in the city of Évora, directly contributing to the economic development of the interior of the country. The inauguration is scheduled for 3 October.
