General de Galerías Comerciales has closed a deal with Ten Brinke for the purchase of a 54,301 square metre plot of land in Tarragona, located in the emerging neighbourhood between Bonavista and Campclar, close to the T-11 road, where Ten Brinke had planned to develop a shopping centre combining healthcare and retail services, with an estimated commercial area of 17,000 square metres.
General de Galerías Comerciales is recognised as one of the leading companies in Spain for its portfolio of commercial properties. Its assets include Parque Comercial Nevada in Armilla, Granada; La Cañada in Marbella; Mataró Parc in Mataró; Gran Plaza in Roquetas de Mar; El Mirador in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Las Terrazas Outlet in Telde; Mediterráneo in Almería; Las Dunas in Sanlúcar de Barrameda; Dos Mares in San Javier, Murcia; and La Rambla in Cartagena.

With this acquisition, General de Galerías Comerciales adds one of the most outstanding commercial projects in Catalonia to its portfolio. The aim is to promote the innovative concept of Ten Brinke, which has introduced state-of-the-art shopping centres in Spain that integrate health and retail services. This project will include essential facilities such as a hospital, supermarkets, decoration and home shops, extensive green areas, car parks with charging points for electric vehicles, bicycle lanes and bus lines.
