Finangeste announced this Thursday that it has completed the sale of the Fórum Barreiro shopping center. Without revealing the amount of the transaction or who the new owners are, the former owner said that they were an international family office and an international real estate development company specializing in shopping center management.
Opened in 2008 and located in the city of Barreiro, Fórum Barreiro has two floors above ground and two in the basement, with an approximate GLA of 17,974 square meters and around 90 shops. Like other Finangeste assets, Fórum Barreiro has been the target of improvement, management and market repositioning interventions, including light works and the entry of new tenants, with the aim of developing the attractiveness of the center. It currently houses several internationally renowned brands and is still in the process of being marketed.
In this operation, Finangeste had the support of partners such as CMS, responsible for the legal structure, and EY for the tax structure.
It should be remembered that Finangeste bought Fórum Barreiro from Multi 24, until then owned by Millennium bcp, on December 30, 2022. At the time, the company said that the investment in repositioning the center should be around 4 million euros, to make the space more comfortable and increase its attractiveness with a better range of services, commerce and convenience and proximity solutions to serve the local and regional community.
