The investor group Cojaswinvest has reportedly reached an agreement to acquire the Itaroa shopping centre located in Huarte (Navarra), just six kilometres from the centre of Pamplona, according to Just Retail. The shopping centre has a gross leasable area of 45,000 square metres, 112 commercial premises and 2,200 parking spaces.
Specifically, the transaction was closed on 26 October and aims to give a new boost to this shopping and leisure space. Itaroa started its activity in 2004 together with a group of local developers and a Sacyr investment fund, and an investment of approximately 58 million euros was made for its start-up.
The majority ownership of the asset, the part that has been sold, corresponded to a group of investors from Navarra, headed by Javier Gómez Cía, while the minority part is owned by the El Corte Inglés group, which will remain as a shareholder of the shopping centre.
