The French fund Inter Gestion REIM, an independent family-owned portfolio management company, has successfully completed its first transaction in the Spanish market in record time. It has acquired eight supermarkets owned by Carrefour, all of them in Spain and for a total value of 42.5 million euros.
The Capital Markets team of the real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield has been responsible for advising on this transaction, the first one carried out by Inter Gestion REIM in Spain.
In this way, Carrefour, currently the largest food retailer in Europe, divests eight assets and raises more than €40 million, boosting its consolidation strategy in Spain.
