Urban Campus, which specialises in the development of Coliving spaces, has announced the opening of its new project in Madrid, called Urban Campus Avenida de América Madrid Coliving. This will be the company's sixth establishment in the capital, located at Calle Béjar, 23. The new Coliving, which will open its doors in March 2024, will have 54 accommodation units and a total of more than 2,042 square metres, including rooms, studios and common areas.
The completion of this project represents a significant step in Urban Campus' national expansion plan, reinforcing its collaboration with the Batipart group, which is acting as investor and developer of the building. Urban Campus, for its part, will be responsible for the design, architecture and operational management of the building from its inauguration.
This new space is designed to foster a shared living experience, in line with Urban Campus' community philosophy. It offers a variety of accommodation options, including self-contained rooms and studios, and more than 105 square metres of common areas. Facilities include a coworking space, gym, shared kitchen, inner courtyard, terraces and bicycle parking.
In its commitment to sustainability, Urban Campus has redesigned and optimised the building using furniture from local ESG-certified brands, including recycled materials and FSC-certified or recycled wood. In addition, the common areas are equipped with automatic sensors for lighting and air conditioning, contributing to the conservation of resources and the reduction of the environmental footprint.

Urban Campus is thus positioned as a leading player in Coliving, a segment which, according to several studies such as that of Forcadell, is expected to be the star product of real estate in Spain by 2024, with a growth of around 10% in the price of rooms. In fact, these forecasts can be understood by the situation that has been occurring in the Flex Living market.
