The residential rental company owned by Dutch fund APG and Australian fund Aware Super has acquired 350 residential units in the municipality from developer AQ Acentor, according to media reports.
This is the largest built-to-rent project currently underway on the Costa del Sol. The operation includes three blocks of rental homes in the Princesa neighbourhood (180 units), as well as a plot in the San Lucas area with the right to another 170 dwellings.
The construction work on the buildings, carried out by Sacyr, is progressing according to schedule and more than 60% of the work has already been completed. The structures have been completed, so work is now concentrating on the interior.
The first two blocks will be delivered in the first half of 2023 and the last one in the third.
Meanwhile, the urbanisation work, which will continue with AQ Acentor, is 20% complete in San Lucas and 50% complete in Santa Rufina, and both will be completed in 2023.
Until its completion, the works will have created some 1,800 direct and indirect jobs.
