The Setúbal City Council approved, at a public meeting, the opening of a public tender for lots worth around 4.7 million euros to rehabilitate 88 dwellings in Quinta do Freixo.
Forming part of the Setúbal Local Housing Strategy, the contract is financed by the PRR, to which the Setúbal City Council submitted an application last year for the rehabilitation of the neighborhood's municipal housing stock.
The public procurement procedure, justified by the "impossibility of meeting the need through the municipality's own resources", the document indicates, concerns the "Rehabilitation of the Quinta do Freixo neighborhood" contract.
This contract will include interventions in the common spaces of two buildings, the rehabilitation of roofs and façades, including new frames and shutters, with the aim of improving thermal and energy conditions, as well as accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
In the interior of 88 residential units, the work to be carried out includes a thorough renovation of the kitchens and sanitary installations and the refurbishment of the bathrooms, and the complete renovation of the water supply, sewage drainage, gas supply, electricity and telecommunications networks.
The contract will be awarded in two lots, of 45 and 43 dwellings, including common parts, according to the municipality's press release. The proposal sets a deadline of 500 days for the completion of the works on each of the lots. For lot 1, the maximum award price is approximately 2.3 million euros, while for lot 2, the limit value for the work is also set at 2.3 million euros.
The period for submitting tenders is 30 days, and the award criteria will be determined by the most economically advantageous tender in the best price-quality ratio mode.
