SEPES has formalised the sale of a plot of land within its residential project "Aguas Vivas Ampliación" in Guadalajara to the cooperative GreenHábitat Guadalajara. The transaction, valued at 2.484 million euros, involves the transfer of a 3,721.53 square metre plot of land for the construction of 78 subsidised housing units (VPO).
The signing of the agreement was attended by Leire Iglesias, Director General of SEPES, and Mariano José López Martínez, President of GreenHábitat Guadalajara. This cooperative is managed by Nidra Homes, a group specialising in the development of sustainable social housing.
With this transaction, SEPES reaffirms its commitment to promote affordable and protected housing at national level through the activation of public land. As part of the Aguas Vivas Ampliación project, SEPES has provided land for the construction of 959 subsidised housing units in Guadalajara and has a further 10 plots suitable for the construction of 1,155 additional homes.
The residential area of Aguas Vivas, located one kilometre from the city centre of Guadalajara and close to important natural and transport routes, combines housing areas with spaces for economic activity and large green areas. This strategic location and the integration of different types of spaces reflect a balanced approach between residential development and environmental conservation.
The first phase of the project resulted in 183,978 square metres of net residential land, with capacity for 1,711 VPO and VPT dwellings. The second phase expanded the offer with an additional 101,180 square metres for 2,114 subsidised housing units, plus a significant commercial plot.
