SEPES has started the bidding process to conclude the urbanization works of the Cuartel de Ingenieros residential project, located in Valencia. This process seeks to comply with the times promised to the city to accelerate the completion of the works, which will facilitate the construction of 438 homes in the center of the city, included in the Affordable Rental Housing Plan.
The progress in the bidding process, approved at the board of directors' meeting on May 22 and backed by a favorable opinion from the Public Works Council, allows the contract with the previous company, whose management had caused the suspension of the works, to be terminated.
The bidding procedure, which will be carried out through a simplified open process, has a budget of 1.25 million euros and an execution period of six months. Interested candidates can submit their bids until June 20.
The pending works include the completion of service infrastructures such as sanitation, water supply, electric power and lighting, as well as earthworks, installation of fences on the plots, and finishing work on landscaping and street furniture.
Located in the neighborhood of La Raïosa, near San Vicente Mártir street, the Cuartel de Ingenieros project in Valencia contemplates the creation of 438 affordable housing units, quality public spaces, green areas and public facilities. SEPES currently manages 18 residential projects in nine autonomous communities under the Affordable Rental Housing Plan, which together total 16,842 affordable public housing units.
