Sareb and the Government of Murcia have formalised the sale of a package of 15 homes and 13 parking spaces for more than 884,000 euros. These properties will help to increase the public housing stock in the autonomous community.
With this sale agreement, Sareb continues to advance in its dual mandate, as it will use this amount to repay its debt and at the same time prioritise offering its assets to public administrations so that they can be used for social purposes to increase the public housing stock in Spain.
Five of the homes are located in the city of Murcia, four in the municipality of Abanilla and another four in Torre Pacheco. All of them include parking spaces. The agreed acquisition is completed with another two homes in Caravaca.
This is the third agreement announced by Sareb in 2023 to sell properties to the autonomous communities. The Xunta de Galicia has formalised the purchase of 40 homes to be used for social rentals and the Generalitat Valenciana has closed an agreement to acquire around 500. In total, some 568 homes have been committed in operations valued at almost 54.4 million euros, which will be used to repay debt.
