The former premises of the Sport Clube do Porto Equestrian Centre, next to Silva Porto, São Dinis and 9 de Abril streets, in Paranhos, are going to give way to a new housing project, now started by Finangeste.
Finangeste acquired the property more than six years ago and is now starting the urbanisation work on this plot of land to build 250 new homes (mostly 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms), to strengthen the city's housing supply. This project ‘will thus contribute to the development of a new block in the city of Porto and a significant improvement in the urban space of this area’, says the developer.
Once the land has been infrastructured, an investment of 2.5 million euros, Finangeste intends to sell the four plots in question, which have a construction project of 24,400 square metres above ground.
At the same time, Finangeste has already started rehabilitating the Camões Building in the centre of Porto, which houses the Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DIAP) and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, a building it acquired around three years ago for 20 million euros. It is now ‘undergoing an in-depth refurbishment with energy efficiency measures with a view to adapting to the building's sustainability certification, worth approximately 2.5 million euros’.
