The Municipality of Oeiras has formalized a protocol with the Housing and Urban Rehabilitation Institute (IHRU) for the construction of 770 new affordable homes in the anti-urban area, at the old Algés Radionaval Station. This initiative aims to strengthen the public housing stock, in line with the guidelines of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

The execution of this project also involves the creation of a 12-hectare urban park and the possibility of installing equipment for public use there.
At the ceremony to formalize the protocol, António Costa stressed that "the persistent work of the Mayor, Isaltino Morais, is absolutely exemplary and is one of the realities that makes the Municipality of Oeiras one of the most socially cohesive, integrated and best developed". Marina Gonçalves stressed that it was always a source of pride to witness the work done in Oeiras in terms of social housing.
