Nido Living, operator of student residences and flex living, has announced the opening of Nido Príncipe Pío in Madrid, its second project in the capital and fourth in Spain. This new residential complex, located in the centre of Madrid on Paseo de la Florida, offers 636 beds primarily for university students and young professionals, and will be available for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The complex is located close to educational institutions such as the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and Universidad Nebrija, thus facilitating students' access to their study centres.
The building, developed by Ruesma, has an eleven-storey structure and offers different types of rooms, including private and shared options, all equipped with modern amenities. Residents will have access to shared or private kitchens depending on the type of room selected.
Nido Príncipe Pío's outstanding services include 24-hour security, maintenance, cleaning, and WiFi connection. The complex also promotes an environment conducive to study and university life, with facilities such as a gym, restaurant, study rooms, coworking, and spaces designed to encourage socialising among students.
Darren Gardner, COO of Nido Living, highlighted the importance of the capital as a university hub, citing the continued growth in student demand and the challenge of finding suitable land for new developments in large cities such as Madrid and Barcelona. Blanca Medina, manager of the centre, underlines the company's intention to maximise the university experience through its design and a wide range of community services and events.
