Naiz Homes has acquired two plots in the La Térmica area of Malaga, where it plans to build around 500 homes as part of a large-scale residential project. The transaction involves a land investment of over €100 million. Furthermore, the estimated turnover associated with the future development will exceed €600 million, according to the company.
The plots acquired have a buildable area of approximately 60,000 sqm and are located on the seafront. The project will form part of one of the major urban regeneration areas in the city of Málaga, a zone set to become a new residential landmark for the city.
The transaction was advised by Colliers and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. Both firms were involved in the land acquisition process and the structuring of the transaction.
The future development will be named Térmica Beach and will be built on two separate plots. Naiz Homes is proposing a residential development tailored to different buyer profiles, with homes aimed at both the domestic and international markets. The company has explained that its aim is to promote projects in strategic locations with high architectural and construction standards. In this case, the proximity to the sea and the area’s growth potential were key factors in securing the investment.
The developer’s planned schedule states that the first phase of the project will be completed during the fourth quarter of 2027. The second phase is scheduled for the second quarter of 2029.
La Térmica has established itself in recent years as one of the main hubs of urban expansion in Málaga. The development of this area forms part of the regeneration of the city’s western coastline, an area that will see the concentration of new homes, public spaces and services in the coming years.
The new residential district aims to combine urban growth with sustainability. It also seeks to blend into the coastal environment and improve connections between different areas of the city of Málaga.
With this acquisition, Naiz Homes is consolidating its presence on the Costa del Sol, one of the country’s most dynamic residential markets. The company believes that Málaga continues to offer strong growth potential thanks to its economic development, its ability to attract new residents and its international profile.
Enaut Saiz, managing partner at Naiz Homes, noted that “the scale of this project reflects the confidence in Málaga’s potential and in the Costa del Sol’s development as one of Europe’s most robust and attractive markets. Our aim is to develop a transformative project that will contribute to the city’s economic growth and leave a lasting impact in terms of employment, economic activity and urban quality”.
