Meridia Capital has acquired a residential property in Barcelona's Poble Nou neighbourhood for 6.6 million euros.
The property was refurbished in 2018 and is located at number 81 Bac de Roda street in the Catalan capital and is almost entirely occupied by housing, as well as a small Glovo office. To finance the transaction, Merida Capital has relied on a loan from Banco Sabadell amounting to €4.9 million.
Thus, the management company adds another operation in the technological district of Barcelona. Meridia developed the turnkey corporate headquarters of the consulting firm Everis, a 25,000 square metre complex, which in June 2021 was sold to the German insurance company Allianz.
Next to this building, on Avinguda Nova Icaria, Meridia has built another smaller building of 7,000 square metres. Likewise, on Carrer Pere IV with Fluvià, very close to where it has executed its latest purchase, the company has also developed a 24,600 square metre building.
In mid-2021, also through Meridia IV and as part of the Swiss project, the management company acquired a 4,300 square metre building at 38 Avenida Meridiana, in the area of influence of the 22@ district, from the insurance company Zurich, for which it paid 10.35 million euros.
One of the latest operations carried out by the management company in the 22@ district was the investment of 10.5 million euros to reposition its latest purchase. Last March, the Spanish investment manager, through its vehicle Meridia RE IV, formalised a credit line with Banco Pichincha for 10.5 million euros to refurbish number 86 Carrer Pere IV.
