Livensa Living has opened a 400-bed student residence in Barcelona, the fourth to be added to its portfolio in the city. The property will begin operating this September, coinciding with the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Located at numbers 25–37 Avinguda del Paral·lel, in the Sants-Montjuïc district, the property is close to the Paral·lel and Drassanes metro stations, which connect the area to various campuses and educational centres. These include Pompeu Fabra University, the University of Barcelona, Elisava, EADA and EAE.
The opening expands the operator’s presence in a market characterised by high demand for accommodation among national and international students and a supply that is insufficient to meet the needs of the university community.
“Barcelona is one of the most attractive university cities in Europe and we continue to see high levels of interest from both national and international students”, said Orianna Tosta, regional manager at Livensa Living.
The residence also features a large-scale art installation as part of the firm’s Urban Art programme. The mural, entitled La Distancia, was created by the Spanish artist Jay Kaes, whose work combines photorealistic techniques, line drawing and digital patterns.
The addition of this asset forms part of Livensa Living’s growth strategy in southern European markets with the highest demand for university accommodation. The company has not disclosed the investment allocated to the project or the financial details of the opening.
