Kronos Homes, the residential development brand of Kronos Real Estate Group, has inaugurated the Ikon tower in Valencia, a project in which it has invested 80 million euros.
The Ikon skyscraper has become the new gateway to the city - on Avenida de las Cortes Valencianas - and an architectural landmark: the tallest residential building with a height of more than 110 metres and 30 floors, designed by Ricardo Bofill's RBTA Architecture Workshop.
The presentation ceremony was attended by Valencia City Councillor for Urban Planning and Housing Juan Giner Corell; Saïd Hejal, CEO of Kronos Real Estate Group, Rui Meneses Ferreira, CEO of Kronos Homes, Pablo Bofill, CEO of Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA) and the artist Luna Paiva, who created the sculpture located at the entrance of the building that Kronos has donated to the city of Valencia as a further demonstration of its commitment to art.
Saïd Hejal, CEO and founder of Kronos Real Estate Group, said: "This is a very important day for Kronos. Four years ago, together with Ricardo and Pablo Bofill, we presented to the world what was to be the IKON Tower. Today this project is a reality and it is much more than the tallest building in Valencia and the new icon of architecture. It is the legacy of an iconic architect and confirms our commitment to architecture.

Rui Meneses Ferreira, CEO of Kronos Homes, adds: "Ikon is a reflection of the vision of Kronos Homes because, in addition to the presence of architecture, design and art, sustainability plays a fundamental role. The tower has been awarded the BREEAM certificate, which guarantees the sustainable construction of the entire project. The residents of the 203 homes will be able to enjoy the large terraces where the cityscape can be seen from every corner of their home. They are our motivation for creating something so iconic".
In addition to a firm commitment to architecture, Kronos Homes also supports local talent, and in this case it has relied on the Valencian architecture studio Arqueha, which has collaborated closely with Ricardo Bofill's studio (RBTA), with Hernán Cortés as the chief architect for the project. All this means that this artistic sensibility is transferred to the whole building: the inspiring light is one of its most characteristic elements, such as the structure that merges with the sky on the top floors or the large windows that allow you to enjoy the cityscape from any corner. The lobby is dressed by a 7x4 metre work of art by the artist Santiago Ydáñez, which once again demonstrates Kronos' commitment to art. All this makes IKON worthy of the European Property Award for the best high-rise residential project.
Kronos Homes has paid tribute to the figure of the architect Ricardo Bofill through a video that highlights the value of architecture and its meaning through the words of the architect himself, extolling the legacy it represents for cities and society.
During the event, Pablo Bofill said: "It is always a pleasure to work with Kronos Homes, for their commitment and passion for architecture, for trusting architects to beautify the environment, allowing us to be part of the legacy of cities".
The Ikon tower, 96% sold, is comprised of 203 one to four bedroom homes, penthouses and communal spaces for residents, such as a communal swimming pool with solarium, gym and a gourmet social area.
