Grupo Insur and the Cosentino family's Family Office have teamed up to develop 125 homes in the Macenas Mediterranean Resort real estate and sports complex, located in Mojácar, Almería. With an investment of 39.5 million euros, the residential project, called 'Las Terrazas', is integrated with the natural surroundings and offers sea views and communal areas designed to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The project is part of an approach to sustainability and environmental recovery of the area, and seeks to offer housing that facilitates a connection with local nature. Álvaro de la Haza, director of the Cosentino Family Office, mentions that this joint effort is aimed at establishing Macenas as a sustainable destination of reference both nationally and internationally.
Francisco Pumar, general manager of Grupo Insur, underlines that 'Las Terrazas' will feature one, two and three bedroom homes, all with terraces facing the Mediterranean, and some will include penthouses and gardens on the ground floor, with the option of a private swimming pool. In addition, the communal areas will include a heated swimming pool, an outdoor infinity pool, a solarium, a social club and a chill-out area, designed with native species and sustainable materials to contribute to the environmental care of the area.
Access to the resort's Social Club, which has a variety of facilities such as restaurants, swimming pools, lounge area, sports centre, shops, and a beauty and wellness centre, complements the amenities on offer. In addition, the complex boasts an 18-hole golf course, designed by Stirling & Martin.
Las Terrazas' is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2027, located in a strategic position just a few metres from the sea, in an area that has been the subject of a post-crisis 2008 renaturation by the Cosentino family. This includes initiatives such as its own wastewater treatment plant and the use of renewable energies, reinforcing the commitment to self-sufficiency and the preservation of the natural environment.
