Lagoom Living and the Official Credit Institute (ICO) have signed a €73.2 million funding agreement to develop a residential project in Seville East, in partnership with Seville City Council and Emvisesa. The development comprises 843 homes, of which 691 will be social housing and 152 will be temporary accommodation.
The development has a total investment of 143 million euros, of which 26 million comes from Next Generation EU funds, managed by the Regional Government of Andalusia as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR). The operation forms part of a public-private partnership model aimed at expanding the supply of affordable rental accommodation.
The new funding is in addition to the 59.3 million euros previously granted by the ICO for Distrito Universidad, another Lagoom Living project in Málaga. With both operations, the ICO funding linked to the company’s projects totals 132.5 million euros, associated with a total investment of 230 million.
The project has been designed by HCP Arquitectos and envisages a development based on criteria of sustainability, energy efficiency and architectural quality. The proposal also incorporates communal spaces and areas.
Construction work began on 16 July and is being carried out by Sacyr. Once construction is complete, Sogeviso will take over the management and operation of the developments.
