The company controlled by Bain Capital will allocate 30 million euros in two residential developments in Vigo and, more specifically, in the Arenal and San Roque areas, where it has acquired two plots of land.
The Arenal land is located in the center of Vigo. It has a buildable area of 6,900 square meters and will house 50 homes, which will involve an investment of 17 million. The land in the San Roque area, for its part, has a buildable area of more than 6,600 square meters and will house about 70 homes after an investment of more than 13 million euros.
With this investment, Habitat continues with its commitment to Galicia, where it has recently started the works of its promotion in A Coruña, Habitat Torre Amura. It is a sixteen-storey building, designed by the Galician studio Nimo / Mezquita Arquitectura, with houses from one to three bedrooms.
Habitat indicated at the beginning of the year that it planned to double the delivery data for 2020, when it sold 400 homes. The real estate agency points out that the company has picked up speed and plans to reach 800 annual deliveries.
In the first quarter, Habitat began the construction of ten developments, which represent about 850 homes. For the second quarter, the company had several construction projects about to close located in Andalusia, Catalonia and the aforementioned one in Vigo, totaling some 300 homes. To these three promotions are added another three started in previous months, located in Castellón, Canarias and Valladolid, which add another 300 more homes.
With the start of these projects, the developer would reach 1,200 homes started before August, while adding 3,900 in commercialization among forty developments spread throughout the Spanish market.
