Gesbró, the Brosh Group’s management company for cooperative housing developments, will invest €50 million in the development of 130 private homes in Mijas and Málaga city centre, two projects marking the start of its operations in Andalusia.
The first of the projects comprises 55 two- and three-bedroom units in the R-2-3-4 sector of Las Lagunas, in Mijas, within a new residential area close to Miramar Park and with access to the A-7 motorway. The development will include ground-floor flats with outdoor spaces, penthouses and semi-penthouses with terraces.
The floor areas will range from 76.30 to 252 sqm, and all units will have a parking space and a storage room, while the communal areas will feature a swimming pool and gardens. Prices are expected to start at €269,000 and reach €400,000 for standard properties, although larger units will be priced above this figure.
The second development will be built in the SUPT-8 area of Málaga city, next to the extension of the University of Málaga, where the property management company plans to build 75 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. The development will feature terraces, a swimming pool, gardens and retail units on the ground floor.
The properties will have floor areas ranging from 58.48 to 215.44 sqm, with estimated prices between €225,000 and €470,000, and will be aimed primarily at first-time buyers and households looking to replace their current home.
Miguel Ángel Cintas Troyano, Grupo Brosh’s Southern Regional Director, attributed Gesbró’s entry into the Andalusian market to the high demand for housing in the province and the insufficient supply to meet the needs of different buyer profiles.
Although the co-operative management company is only now commencing operations in Andalusia, Grupo Brosh was already present in Málaga through other residential developments. In Estepona, it is involved in the urban regeneration of the Camino Cortes Sur area, a 127,000 sqm site where it holds a majority stake in the compensation board and is developing four projects comprising a total of 193 homes aimed at the high-end segment.
