Grupo Moraval and EQT Exeter consolidate their platform of student residences and flex living in Spain with a total of 13 assets in ten cities, which will provide nearly 4,500 accommodation places. The investment allocated is more than 300 million euros.
These figures confirm the growth of the joint portfolio of EQT Exter and Grupo Moraval, which two years after the constitution of their joint venture, have created a portfolio to respond to the growing demand for student accommodation through the development of new generation residences.
As the companies explain, "located in cities with low provision rates and optimal locations, the planned assets are conceived under the highest standards of sustainability and technology, and the purpose of promoting the integral wellbeing of the residents".
The joint venture started with the Nodis Seville project, which opened a year ago and is the largest residence in Spain with 1,127 beds and has been awarded Leed Gold certification by the US Green Building Council, endorsing its performance in terms of sustainability.
In September this year, two new complexes will open in Madrid: Nodis Pozuelo de Alarcón and Nodis Vicálvaro, which will provide more than 600 places in the capital. Throughout 2024 and 2025, the rest of the assets are expected to open in Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Malaga, Gerona, Valencia, San Sebastian, Pamplona and Murcia.
Alvaro Soto de Scals, president of Grupo Moraval, also points out that the company "will reach a total of 9,000 beds in operation by 2025 in locations with a powerful range of services, a high level of quality in their finishes and a unique technological component in the sector".
