Culmia has started the construction of the first 946 affordable homes of the second phase of the 'Plan VIVE' of the Community of Madrid. This new project includes 524 homes in Boadilla del Monte and 422 in Pinto, with an expected investment of 170 million euros. In addition, work will soon begin on 191 homes in Colmenar Viejo.
The homes in Boadilla del Monte are distributed in 109 one-bedroom, 246 two-bedroom and 169 three-bedroom homes. Meanwhile, those in Pinto consist of 221 one-bedroom homes, 173 two-bedroom homes and 28 three-bedroom homes. These homes include energy efficiency with an A rating and Breeam sustainability certification. In addition, they will have concierge services, green areas, swimming pool, children's play areas, sports court, equipped gymnasiums and community spaces.
The project will use Ávita, Avintia's industrialized construction system, and will be marketed and managed by Sogeviso, which specializes in the responsible management of real estate portfolios. Industrialized construction is expected to reduce delivery times by up to 30%, and a 60% reduction in waste generated.
According to Jaume Borràs, business director of Culmia, “It is gratifying to see how the projects that have been worked on collaboratively for months between the teams, from the awarding of the contract, move on to the construction phase. Now it is the turn of Boadilla and Pinto, where nearly 1,000 new homes will be made available to their citizens. One more step to continue providing affordable solutions to the Community of Madrid”.
Culmia had already been awarded the first phase of the VIVE Plan, which included the construction of 1,763 homes in municipalities such as San Sebastián de los Reyes, Tres Cantos, Alcorcón, Alcalá de Henares and Getafe, with the first homes already handed over to the families.
