The Government of Castilla-La Mancha is committed to the rehabilitation of housing using funds from the European Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
Nacho Hernando, Minister of Public Works, participated in an event organized by Cadena SER of Castilla-La Mancha, where the topic of "Housing, the market and present solutions for the cities of the future" was discussed. During the event, Hernando highlighted that the regional administration has increased the initial credit for housing by 56.5%, reaching a total investment of 215 million euros.
Hernando also mentioned the work carried out by the Offices of Rehabilitation, an initiative of the regional government in collaboration with the Official Associations of Architects and Quantity Surveyors. These offices have attended 19,126 consultations to date. It underlines the importance of housing rehabilitation and the crucial role played by rehabilitation agents and professional associations. These agents provide a complete service model to homeowners' associations and individuals, managing offices that provide information on aid programs and offer technical advice.
In addition, Hernando reaffirmed the commitment to the construction of new homes through the Plan 10,000, which has already resulted in 2,000 new homes approved. He also mentioned the Cooperatives Plan, developed with the collaboration of CONCOVI, as part of the initiatives to promote housing in the region.
