The French real estate company Batipart has bought a building in Malaga city, according to the consultancy firm Savills, which advised on the transaction.
Specifically, the property, recently built, has 32 one and two-bedroom properties for rent, as well as two commercial premises.
"This new transaction demonstrates the interest in the residential rental segment in the city of Malaga for specialised investors and operators in the sector," Savills said. In the last year, the consultancy firm has advised on the transaction of residential rental assets in Malaga, with a total volume of 450 homes.
"Malaga has a growing demand from tenants in the rental market due to socio-demographic changes, the difficulties of access to the purchase of a home and the positioning of the city as a technology centre, which motivates the arrival of new professionals," they say.
In Spain, Batipart has been operating since 2015 and manages a portfolio of around 400 million euros.
