Following its expansion strategy in Iberia, Amro Partners has just announced the acquisition of a new student residence in the Caparica area, in Almada, close to the NOVA FCT campus and the Egas Moniz health school, part of the Innovation District.
The result of an estimated investment of 32 million euros, this residential project will have a capacity of 305 beds, distributed in ensuite, double, studio and twoodios, supported by dedicated study areas and other shared spaces, such as a cafeteria, swimming pool, gym or rooftop. The property will have BREEAM Outstanding certification.
Amro's strategy is to have more than 2,100 beds in the Iberia region. It arrived in Portugal this summer with a first investment in Paranhos, Porto, at the same time that it announced a new project in Madrid. This residence with 151 beds is expected to open in 2023. Caparica's project will be Amro Partners' eighth in Iberia, where it arrived in 2018, totaling around 235 million euros.
In a statement, the company says it is "committed to the growth of its Iberian platform with a strategic focus on key cities in Portugal and Spain, where the lack of high-quality student residences is more acute."
Raj Kotecha, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Amro Partners, highlights that “we are committed to delivering innovative student housing in the best locations, and Lisbon is an important region for us, looking to increase our presence in the Iberian residential market”.
