Vodafone Spain has launched a digital platform to market part of its property portfolio directly, starting with 15 properties for sale and seven offices available to let, with a combined floor area of 12,000 sqm.
The properties for sale are spread across various locations in Spain and consist, for the most part, of spaces that have fallen into disuse following the modernisation of the telecommunications network – a process that has enabled the consolidation of equipment and the release of facilities previously linked to operational activities.
The letting portfolio includes offices located in Tenerife, Burgos, Villares de la Reina, Jerez de la Frontera, Cordovilla and Córdoba, which may be occupied by other companies. Added to this portfolio are spaces at the corporate headquarters in Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga and Madrid, which will be marketed for business events, training sessions, professional meetings and networking activities.
The new tool will enable investors, businesses and private individuals to view available assets directly, without being limited solely to the sale or rental of property, as it will also include a section dedicated to second-hand furniture.
The initiative forms part of Vodafone’s strategy to generate returns from under-utilised resources and expand the uses of facilities originally designed for its own operations. The sale of tables, chairs and other items is also intended to extend their useful life through reuse.
