Urbaser chooses the centre of Madrid for its new offices. With the advice of CBRE, the company specialising in environmental solutions has chosen the Aqua building as its new headquarters, due to its prime location in the capital, in the heart of Plaza Castilla, as well as its modern, flexible and sustainable approach. The building has official A+ energy certification, a photovoltaic installation that supplies 30% of the energy for common uses, LED lighting and a system to optimise electricity consumption.
At BICG, the consultancy specialising in ways of working, they believe it was essential to achieve harmony between the company's purpose and its working environment. Therefore, they have collaborated with Urbaser to transform their corporate culture and implement significant changes in the way they work: elimination of paper and offices.
Iñaki Lozano, CEO of BICG, says: "Urbaser is showing us with its transformation process that sustainability and transparency can be tangible values that foster a new way of working.
Fernando Abril-Martorell, CEO of Urbaser, explains: "It was important to us that our new headquarters reflect our mission as a company. In the Aqua building we find comfort, proximity and a commitment to the environment. The facilities promote energy savings and make the best use of sunlight.
