Savills has officially inaugurated its new Porto offices at VIVA Offices, marking a new phase for its operation in Northern Portugal. Held on 21st October, the event brought together colleagues from across the Portuguese and Spanish teams, alongside clients, partners and friends of the consultancy. The gathering included dedicated visits throughout the building and a networking moment that gave guests the opportunity to explore the new workspace and connect with the wider Savills community.
The new office brings the Porto team together under one roof, with an interior design project developed by Savills’ own BPC & Architecture department. The space combines open-plan work areas and meeting rooms with informal collaboration zones and quieter areas for focused work, while balconies and natural light connect the workplace with its surroundings.
Present at the inauguration, Jaime Pascual-Sanchiz, CEO of Savills Iberia, recalled that the firm is celebrating 170 years of existence, an important track-record. As for the future, he firmly believes Iberia will be a place where history will be made, and the new office in Porto is part of this increasing bet in the region.
For Ricardo Valente, Managing Director of Savills’ Porto office, the move reflects the consultancy’s ambition to strengthen its regional presence and respond more comprehensively to a real estate market in constant transformation. The new premises provide the conditions to bring teams together and deepen engagement with clients, partners and business opportunities across Northern Portugal.
Marco Rondoni, Associate Director of Business and Design Strategy at Savills Portugal, describes the office as a showroom for the consultancy’s work, where design reflects the experiences and stories of employees and clients. The project brought together national and international partners to create a workspace that broadens the conventional understanding of the office environment.
The new premises are located at VIVA Offices, close to Avenida AEP, with direct access to the Circunvalação ring road and within easy reach of Boavista. The building also benefits from nearby Viso and Ramalde metro stations, more than 300 parking spaces and bicycle facilities.
Owned by Sonae Sierra and GFH, VIVA Offices comprises 21,500 sqm across nine floors and was designed by architecture practice Broadway Malyan. The building includes multi-purpose and coworking areas, a restaurant with terrace, a lounge and a rooftop garden, alongside balconies and flexible floorplates designed to accommodate different working arrangements.
Sustainability is central to the development, which features photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and other measures supporting more sustainable mobility. LEED Platinum certification is underway. The building has surpassed 70% occupancy, according to its owners, reflecting demand for flexible, well-connected office space in Porto.
