The organisers of Primavera Sound, known for its diverse selection of music, have announced a change of location for their Barcelona offices. They will now be based in Torre Diagonal Mar, a property owned by Union Investment. The operation has been advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
Previously, the festival's offices were located in Diagonal 189, a building owned by RBA Editores, occupying a space of approximately 2,200 square metres. With the change, the organisation will occupy 2,500 square metres distributed over two floors of the TDM building (Torre Diagonal Mar), located at Carrer Josep Pla 2, in Barcelona.
The TDM building is recognised for its sustainability certifications such as LEED Platinum, Bream Very Good / Excelent and ISO 50001. In addition, it has recently been connected to DistrictClima, the district heating and cooling network, which will contribute to a further reduction in the building's CO2 emissions.
Imma Santacana, Associate at Cushman & Wakefield, says: "This operation demonstrates that buildings that are not newly built, but have invested in major improvements and refurbishments to their spaces, and especially in terms of sustainability, are also a good option for attracting talent and large companies.
The main reason for the change of venue is the location of the Union Investment building, which is opposite the site of the annual festival, on the seafront. In addition, along with Primavera Sound, Vampire Studio, the festival's creative agency, will also move into the building.
