The former headquarters of the German pharmaceutical company Bayer in Carnaxide has changed hands and is now owned by a Portuguese family office. The transaction was monitored by Cushman & Wakefield, representing the seller, and the value of the deal was not disclosed.
This deal comes after the pharmaceutical company announced last year that it was moving to new offices in the World Trade Center, a placement also monitored by Cushman & Wakefield.
Near the Alegro shopping centre, the stand alone property is 5,600 square metres, with 110 parking spaces. Some specific areas, such as the reception or the canteen, were recently refurbished, and the building is ready to receive a new tenant.
Carlos Oliveira, Partner of Cushman & Wakefield Portugal, comments in a press release that "in an area with some availability of quality offices, the buyer realised that this property gathers very interesting and competitive characteristics, despite not being new, namely the location and visibility, the efficiency of the floors, the exterior green space and the excellent state of maintenance. It was a simple transaction and this says a lot", he considers.
