OHLA, a company in the construction sector, has increased its portfolio of projects with a building initiative promoted by the Madrid City Council, with a budget of over 9.5 million euros. The project involves the construction of a 5,551 square metre multifunctional building, distributed over five levels above ground and an underground floor that will cover the entire plot. Located at Calle Francisco Remiro 21, in the Salamanca District, La Guindalera neighbourhood, this development is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU programme.
The new building will house a nursery school equipped with a multi-purpose room, kitchen, teachers' room, storage spaces, toilets, staff changing rooms and appropriate facilities. In addition, there will be a central courtyard that will serve as the central axis of the building's floors. The complex will also include a day centre and a centre for the elderly, offering workshops, rehabilitation rooms, gymnasium, infirmary, and spaces for multi-purpose activities, among other facilities.
In Madrid, OHLA has carried out projects such as the Madnum Project for Inmobiliaria Colonial, with a 55,135 square metre office building; the Caleido Tower, notable for being home to the first vertical university campus in Spain; and the Canalejas Madrid Centre, which integrates the Four Seasons Hotel, 22 premium residences with hotel services, a luxury shopping centre, a gourmet gastronomic space and a car park for 400 vehicles.
