The project will occupy around 140.000 sqm and it will include Farfecth’s buildings, representing 45% of the total area, other office and services buildings and a hotel which will be developed by Castro Group.
José Neves, Farfetch’s founder, CEO and chairman, mentioned in a release quoted by Jornal Económico, that this project will be «a revolution over current workspaces, marked by a futuristic design and an orientation towards sustainability and well-being. It will be a space not only for Farfetch, but for the whole community».
«The project’s location and features, together with a futuristic and sustainable architecture, make Fuse Valley, the perfect fusion between companies, people, culture, art and community», commented Paulo Castro, Castro Group’s CEO.
The municipality of Matosinhos also applauded the project and recognised it will represent an important investment for the region. Luísa Salgueiro, Mayoress of Matosinhos, considered that this «will be one more landmark in the municipality’s national and international affirmation». This bet and this investment confirm «Matosinhos’ capacity and potential to be a part of the digital revolution, attracting and fixating talent, creating qualified jobs, encouraging creativity, innovation and excellence», she concluded.
