MyShareCompany acquires an emblematic building in Barcelona. The French fund manager has invested three million euros in the purchase of a property located at number 233 Roger de Flor Street, very close to the Sagrada Familia. The operation has been advised by the Fenext consultancy.
The building is an old house-studio in the Eixample district of Barcelona, which has been converted into a coworking space. The project, baptized under the name of The Haus, consists of the repositioning of an old premises of 800 square meters that began operating as a printing press. Later, the building was renovated by the architects Benito Escat and Alberto Rovira into a contemporary-looking two-storey house-studio.
The operation has materialized with the purchase by MyShareCompany of an office space of 630 square meters, distributed on the ground floor and basement with a separate entrance, which can accommodate 96 workstations.
"This operation is a reflection of the interest that international strategic investors have in investing in assets in Barcelona, a benchmark city for digital entrepreneurs from all over the world," says José María Carpio Salcedo, founder of Fenext. “The Haus is a living example of the transformation of Barcelona, if a few decades ago it had a markedly industrial profile, it is currently experiencing a true 4.0 revolution: high-impact technological start-ups, whether national or international, choose Barcelona as their gateway to Europe”, adds Carpio.
