Located in the Ciudad Universitaria area, in the Moncloa district, the complex has 17,841 sqm of GLA, which has been fully rented to the private university with a long-term contract. It is made up of four buildings, with capacity for 3,000 people and has been designed by the prestigious architect Kevin Roche.
It is planned that Cunef will settle there as of next year, but will live with two more tenants until their contracts expire in less than three years: the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and the International Foundation for Ibero-America for Public Administration and Policies .
The assets will not require a change of use, because current regulations allow classes in this type of office building. It will be "a wide campus, well connected, with comfortable and accessible classrooms and spaces that combine the highest standards in technology and sustainability", and equipped with photovoltaic panels "that will provide the site with energy self-consumption", according to Merlin.
Thanks to this operation, the university run by the Spanish Banking Foundation will have its own campus after leaving the Complutense University of Madrid, from which it was an attached center.
