LaSalle IM has closed the acquisition of a building at number 433 bis on Avenida Diagonal, next to its junction with Aribau, according to Expansión.
It is a mixed-use property, acquired from a family group, which includes the Hotel Umma, several floors of offices and commercial premises occupied by the furniture manufacturer Natuzzi. The purchase and sale transaction has risen to 20 million euros. The new owner will upgrade the property.
The office market in the Catalan capital closed 2022 with more than 300,000 square metres leased. This figure is slightly higher, specifically by 1.3%, than the figure for the previous year.
The city centre, historically a market with a lack of quality space, but whose location has always been highly attractive to tenants, has continued to account for the majority of leasing, with 28% of the total area leased in the city in 2022. This area is followed with very similar figures by the 22@ technology district, which continues to prove to be a pole of attraction for companies and which accounts for 27% of take-up.
Last week, LaSalle Investment Management also acquired a logistics warehouse in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda for 35 million euros from Scanell Properties. In addition, in Barcelona, it has the NH Calderón hotel, which it acquired in 2021 for 125 million euros.
