The business landscape in Spain is experiencing steady growth, which has increased the need for companies to attract and retain talent effectively. In this scenario, the hybrid work model is positioning itself as a key solution, offering professionals the flexibility to work from various locations, which encourages development in different cities across the country. Following this trend, IWG, a global provider of flexible workspaces and solutions, has confirmed its upcoming opening in Vigo.
This new flexible workspace, which will operate under the Regus brand, will open during the first quarter of 2024. It will have a gross rentable area of 430 square metres, including coworking spaces and private offices. This launch in Vigo, together with the recent announcement of a centre in A Coruña, reflects the group's commitment to growth in Galicia.
IWG's expansion
Globally, the operator has reached a significant milestone by opening more than 600 centres this year, as part of an ambitious expansion plan that includes the addition of 1,000 new coworking centres to its network. In Spain, IWG already has more than 70 centres across the country, and its arrival in Galicia confirms its commitment to expand hybrid working to more professionals and regions.
The new centre in Vigo will offer both coworking spaces and private offices, hosting companies from different sectors, which will benefit from the services IWG provides to suit their specific needs. Permer Galicia, owner of the building, has chosen to collaborate with International Workplace Group (IWG) to optimise the profitability of its real estate, in response to the growing demand for hybrid workspaces. IWG, with an annual investment of approximately €50 million in its technology platform, offers its partners full access to its expertise, design and installation support, sales and marketing skills.
